Summer’s Hottest Nail Polishes Are On Sale Now

Deborah Lippman is starting a pre-sale today on two of the must-have colors of the season:

Call Me Irresponsible (left) was inspired by the clothes at Diane Von Furstenberg, Badgley Mischka and Gucci.

It’s Raining Men (right) took its cue from Valentino, Christian Dior and Michael Kors.

While you’re on the site, you should also splurge on Purple Rain, the color Deborah Lippman created in conjunction with Zac Posen. It's an ideal color for spring, when you haven't yet built up a tan.

Hope and Annie,

what are your thoughts about one nail polish color on the fingers, and a different (though tonally complementary) on the toes? I'm debating this with a Hawaii-bound friend. I think a light color on the fingers is OK, and then you can bump it up a couple of notches as you show off your sandals and pedi. thoughts are appreciated -- especially if I've been doing it wrong!
thanks!

You're doing great! We often put a deeper color on our toes, especially since your finger nail polish tends to chip and it's easier to get by with a chip on a lighter mani. Anne had the idea of painting your toes gold (metallics are hot right now) and orange on your fingers for a tropical vacation. I'm thinking of this for our upcoming trip to Mexico. Gold and orange look great against a (spray) tan. Have fun with your colors. Baby pink is versatile; but not for everyday of the year! Thanks for reading, Hope
